Miko Marczyk dominates Canary Islands qualifying stage

The Pole Miko Marczyk (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) set the best time in the qualifying special of Rally of the Canary Islands, final of the European Rally Championship ERC.

Marczyk dominated the 3,45 km SS in 1'54″432 and is ahead by 0″7 Craig Breen (Hyundai i20 R5) et de 0″8 José Antonio Suarez (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo).

Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo), the latest winner in Hungary, took 4th place at 0″9. In the French clan, Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 R5) ranks 9th at 1″9 when Adrien fourmaux (Ford Fiesta R5 MKII) takes 12th position at 3″.

Overall leader, Alexey Lukyanuk (Citroën C3 R5) is only 34th at 14″. The Russian was stopped by police before heading onto the SS, with officers highlighting his driving in an attempt to warm up the tires before the start.
