The first special of the 2020 Rally di Roma Capitale, opening of theERC, saw the domination of the Russian Alexey Lukyanuk (Citroën C3 R5). The 2018 European champion took the scratch in the SS in 7’59″1, preceding Craig Breen (Hyundai i20 R5) de 5″8.
Giandomenico Basso (Volkswagen Polo R5 GTI) takes 3rd place at 5″9, and is ahead of Simone Tempestini (Skoda Fabia R5) and Oliver Solberg (Volkswagen Polo R5 GTI) who complete the top 5.
The ES was quickly neutralized after the accident of Andrea Crugnola (Citroën C3 R5) which required the evacuation of the damaged car, the crew remaining unhurt. Adrien fourmaux (Ford Fiesta R5 MKII) was unsuccessful, puncturing and dropping 35″ in the mishap.
