Too quickly forced to retire yesterday in an exit from the road on SS1, Andrea Crugnola (Citroën C3 R5) set the best time in the ninth special of the Rally di Roma Capitale, first round of theERC 2020.
The Italian driver, author of a benchmark time of 6'31″1 over the 11,75 km of Guarcino, precedes Giandomenico Basso (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5) by 4″2 and Alexey Lukyanuk (Citroën C3 R5) by 4″7.
Lukyanuk largely retains control of the race at the end of this first loop of the day with a 29″ margin over Basso, when Oliver Solberg (Volkswagen Polo GTI R3) remains 5rd at 3″, 54″ ahead. Craig Breen (Hyundai i20 R5). Ce dernier doit toutefois toujours faire face à Simone Tempestini (Skoda Fabia R5), 5e à quatre dixièmes de l’Irlandais.
