The second special of the first passage, the 30,8km from Novella – Pietralba, will be contested from 11:03 a.m.
Evans was the fastest among the leading drivers in WRC 2. By gaining almost 5 seconds from Kopecky, the Welshman now has a lead of more than 20 seconds over the Czech. Abbring remains 3rd ahead of Bonato, Surez, Maurin and Loubet who gained a place following Gilbert's retirement due to a mechanical problem the day before.

Kris Meeke (Citroën) put an end to Sébastien Ogier's (Volkswagen) streak of scratches at the Tour de Corse by setting the best time in the 53,72km La Porta – Valle di Rostino in 35'36''5. The Briton was 17 seconds ahead of Andreas Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) who beat his teammate Sébastien Ogier by three tenths. Craig Breen (Citroën) finished three seconds behind the three-time world champion, gaining almost five seconds from Jari-Matti Latvala (Volkswagen). The Finn took a small second from Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Éric Camilli (Ford) set the ninth provisional time, less than four seconds behind Hayden Paddon (Hyundai).
Sébastien Ogier further increases his lead with 52”6 over Thierry Neuville. The Belgian now only has 6''4 on Andreas Mikkelsen who took third place from Jari-Matti Latvala by almost seven seconds. Craig Breen still completes the top five ahead of Hayden Paddon and Éric Camilli who is only 4''4 ahead of Kris Meeke who has moved up to eighth place.

Camilli achieved the 9th provisional time, finishing 3″9 behind Paddon. The M-Sport driver is still in 7th place but 38 seconds behind the New Zealander. “It was a good start even if it's hard to start with such a special stage. »
Breen sets the 4th provisional time, 20″3 behind his teammate Meeke. The Irishman regained 4″7 in Latvala and is now 16s behind the Finn overall. “I'm a little disappointed with my driving. »
Meeke took the scratch by setting a fantastic time of 35'36"5. The Citroën driver leads Mikkelsen by 17s and is now ahead of Sordo by more than 20s in the general classification.
Tänak is the slowest. The Dmack driver is more than a minute behind the provisional scratch. The Estonian is 41s behind Sordo overall.
Ostberg finished more than 53s behind Mikkelsen and found himself more than 40s behind Sordo. The Norwegian completed the top ten of the 1st stage.
Sordo ranks 7″5 behind Neuville. The Hyundai driver should regain 8th place against Evans after losing time the day before following a puncture.
Latvala lost 8 seconds to Mikkelsen and gave up 3rd place to his teammate for 6″7 behind. “It was a better start than the day before. I know I need to be even faster, but we're making progress. »
Neuville drops 8″9 to Mikkelsen. the Belgian now only has a 6″4 lead over the Norwegian while he is in 2nd place. “I'm pretty happy with my pace. I tried to be clean. »
Paddon finished 25″9 behind Mikkelsen. The Hyundai driver is battling with Breen for 5th place. “It was very complicated, I didn't feel confident with the brakes. The settings are not perfect. »

Ogier completes SS5 with a first reference time of 35'53″8. “I was too careful at first. The road was quite slippery. I didn't want to take too many risks, I was worried about a puncture or something similar. »
In WRC 2, Kopecky is more than 3 seconds ahead of Evans, the category leader, in the first sector.
Meeke is the fastest at the moment. The Citroën driver is ahead of Ogier by 2″4 in the 3rd sector.
Mikkerlsen is now 6 tenths ahead of Ogier in the 5th sector. Neuville reduced his delay to 6″8 and Latvala to 5″7 in the 5th split. Sordo is at 8″5 in the 3rd split and Ostberg at 16″5.
Meeke also got off to a good start. The Citroën driver is ahead of Ogier by 1″7 in the 1st split. Breen was more cautious since he was 7″1 behind the Frenchman.
