Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) lost more time to his opponents at Wales Rally GB on SS18 at Alwen. The Frenchman finished more than 4 seconds behind Ott Tänak (Toyota) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) was closest to the leaders and took 1 seconds from Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai).
Ott Tänak now has a lead of 11”1 over Thierry Neuville. Sébastien Ogier is around ten seconds behind the Belgian with another 8 seconds ahead of Kris Meeke (Toyota). Andreas Mikkelsen is only 3 seconds ahead of Elfyn Evans.
Tänak takes the scratch for a tenth ahead of Neuville. The Estonian is ahead of the Belgian by 11″1. “The car runs well and I was able to take good lines. »
Neuville improves Evans' time by 2 tenths. Ogier is more than 10 seconds from 2nd place. " I need to try. It's good against Seb but it will be hard against Ott (Tänak). »
Ogier fails almost 4s behind Evans. “We are trying to finish the rally. I don't think I can go back to the others. » The Citroën driver's pace seems too insufficient to threaten the leaders.

Lappi set a time of 5'30″7 quickly beaten by Breen by 6 tenths.

In terms of tire choices:
Meeke, Tänak, Evans and Breen chose 5 mediums.
Neuville preferred 4 mediums and 1 soft, the opposite of Mikkelsen who took 4 softs and 1 medium.
Ogier took 3 soft and 2 medium. His teammate Lappi left with 5 tenders.
The WRCs will start every 2 minutes. The rest of the cars will leave every minute.
Rain is expected in the morning on the stages of Wales Rally GB.
Lappi will again start first on the road. The Citroën driver will start ahead of Breen, Tidemand, Evans, Mikkelsen, Meeke, Ogier, Neuville and Tänak.

The day will consist of two special stages covered twice added to the Great Orme route. The 6,43km Brenig ES will serve as a Power Stage in the second passage. The day should start at 8:28 a.m. with the 10,41km from Alwen.
Ott Tänak (Toyota) must maintain his lead over Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) who remain in ambush against the championship leader.
