Lance stroll (Prema Powerteam) further increases its lead in the Championship F3 European by signing his seventh victory of the season at the end of Race 1 at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) where he started from pole.
The test pilot Williams only had to defend his leading position for half of the event, the marshals having launched the safety car on the track until a quarter of an hour from the checkered flag due to the particularly rainy conditions. The safety car had to return to the track during the final loops following Weiron Tan (Carlin) going off the track.
The Championship leader now has a 63-point lead over his direct rival and teammate Maximilian Günther who took second place, while Ben Barnicoat (HitechGP) completes the podium ahead of Nick Cassidy (Prema Powerteam) and George Russell (HitechGP) .
Harison Newey (Van Amersfoort Racing) took sixth place ahead of David Beckmann (Mücke Motorsport), Ralf Aaron (Prema Powerteam) and Carlin drivers Ryan Tveter and Alessio Lorandi. Starting 13th, Anthoine Hubert (Van Amersfoort Racing) retired due to a puncture.
