Crucified by Red Bull Racing at the end of the first half-season, Pierre Gasly found his faith at Toro Rosso and opened the path to redemption in Sao Paulo. What can you think of? Pierre Gasly ? His last podium, acquired in Abu Dhabi in 2016 when he was still racing in GP2? To his previous glory in Bahrain last year when he allowed Honda to sign the first convincing result of his return to F1 ? Upon his ouster from Red Bull Racing in the heart of summer? On his return to Toro Rosso to try to save what could be saved? The fight he has since led to try to give new impetus to his career? To the kid who, deep in his native Normandy, dreamed of such a day? Everything mixes, collides. Everything has to come out, so he shouts into his radio. He even screams, his joy, his pain, his relief above all! The last few months have been terrible, trapped as he was on a hellish roller coaster where his emotions, also trapped, were riding a roller coaster. Was he going to make it? Was he going to be able to show that he was better than that return ticket to Faenza that had been slipped into his pocket? Obviously, for a few Grands Prix already, things were going well
