Rétromobile 2024 – A resounding success and records

Rétromobile's dynamism is reflected in its ability to bring together, over an area of 75m², all the players in the sector. After an unprecedented parade through the streets of Paris dedicated to the centenary of the UTAC Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome, the three pavilions of the show offered a rich and varied experience. From the entrance, visitors were able to discover various manufacturers and the most prestigious players in the world of classic vehicles, including numerous dealers in exceptional vehicles such as Lukas Huni AG, Girardo, Fiskens, Joe Macari, Kidston and even Gallery Aaldering to name but a few. The dream offered by Rétromobile nonetheless remains accessible, with the presence of collectors' clubs for all tastes, and an exhibition-sale area which offered no less than 000 vehicles for less than 150 euros.

“I would like to warmly thank all the exhibitors, visitors and partners who were present for this 48th edition, declared Romain Grabowski, Show Director Rétromobile. In a turbulent context, our public has, once again, demonstrated its loyalty and love for classic vehicles. We are proud to announce that the 130 visitor mark has been crossed, the result of our year-round commitment to offering quality content. It is thanks to this intergenerational and passionate community that we can each year tell this wonderful human and mechanical story that is Rétromobile. Thank you to everyone who helps make this event so unique and memorable. »

The new features of this edition were a great success: firstly, the new zone dedicated to Living Heritage Companies highlighted French know-how and excellence as well as initiatives in favor of preserving heritage motorized rolling. Then, also new for this 48th edition, the Retromobile Preservation Trophy was awarded to the Mercedes Simplex HP 60 from 1903. Its state of conservation, its history and the fact that the car remained in the same family for 121 years convinced the members of the jury. Finally, diversification was expressed in the new Moto Zone, which welcomed no less than six manufacturers as well as the Ace Cafe and an official exhibition dedicated to the Monneret Saga over 2m², adding a new dimension to the event.

In addition to the MG EX181 on the poster, the real star of this 2024 edition, the show welcomed some of the most beautiful automobiles of the past century. Among the most beautiful pearls of the show, the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic and Bugatti Royale or even both Ferrari 250 GTOs have delighted the most discerning collectors from the four corners of the globe. But that's not all, some living legends were also among the headliners of the show as evidenced by the presence of Jacky Ickx, Sébastien Loeb, Stéphane Peterhansel, Charles Leclerc, Magnus Walker and Philippe Monneret.

An anticipated moment at each edition of the show, the auction organized by Artcurial Motorcars recorded a total of €17,8 million for all sales combined, proving in itself that the collector's automobile market retains all its vigor and its attraction.
