The Historic French Grand Prix is already heading towards its sixth edition, the fourth in a row organized in the ideal setting of the Circuit Paul Ricard. There, in this place forever engraved in the history of Formula 1, we will once again take pleasure in diving back into the story of past decades. Brought forward to the Easter weekend in 2023, the event then benefited from a real plebiscite from the public (52 spectators) who were too happy to see the F000 continue to be seen and heard on the Castellet plateau and to have the luxury of being able to approach them in complete freedom. Logically, the upcoming edition starts again on identical bases and on a program that is as consistent as ever, concocted by HVM Racing in partnership with the FFSA and the Circuit Paul Ricard.

F1 racing, demos, exhibitions!

The theme of the history of single-seaters will once again grant a golden place to Formula 1. Thanks to the great return of the Masters Racing Legends F1 championship, the public will first be able to find them in "real" races, on Saturday like Sunday. A unique field made up of F1 from the 60s/70s and the beginning of the 80s. As many McLaren, Williams, Ligier, Lotus… ready to fight new battles to the rhythm of their V8 Cosworth. F1 cars with a glorious history, we will also find in demos during the daily double parade of single-seaters over 2 liters or even during the “F1 90's Time Attack” by AGS Formula 1 meetings. Finally, around thirty other F1 cars will be revealed on
the different exhibition spaces.

Beyond just F1, the French Historic Grand Prix ensures that it offers a program of international competitions capable of bringing to the fore multiple chapters of the great history of motorsport. There will also be great moments to experience from the side of the track by attending the races of the single-seater grids. F2 Classic InterSeries (for F2s before 1979) and F3 Classic InterSeries (the F3s before 1985). And that's not all. GTs and Protos from the 2000s seen at Le Mans will pay homage to the great days of endurance at the invitation of the Masters Endurance Legends, while other older cars of this type will be expected at the start of the 200 km of the GPFH. Finally, the copious competition component will also give pride of place to the Lotus Trophy and the Ferrari GT Club Deutschland.

A tribute to Ayrton Senna

Thirty years after his tragic accident at Imola, Ayrton Senna remains present in the hearts and memories of all motor racing fans. The KENNOL Historic French Grand Prix will pay homage to his memory through various exhibitions and, in an exceptional way, by putting back on the track the most iconic of his vehicles: the F1 McLaren MP4/6 Honda engine which allowed the Brazilian champion to obtain her third world crown in 1991. She will evolve for the occasion in very good hands…

Renowned guests including Jacky Ickx

Once again the signing sessions will go well. The list is still provisional, but many champions have already marked the date of the French Historic Grand Prix on their calendar. Jacky Ickx is one of them. The famous Belgian driver will be present at the event for the first time and will take the time to offer valuable footage to the public by getting back behind the wheel of one of his Ferrari F1s from the era! Rene Arnoux should imitate him, while Franck Montagny will also be among the “ex F1” present at Castellet.
