After organizing two virtual events on DiRT Rally 2.0, World RX is moving up a gear by setting up an official championship. Blocked by health measures linked to the coronavirus, the world championship of Rallycross will therefore organize its clashes on the DiRT Rally 2.0 video game which has the official license.
The grid will be made up of drivers from the 2020 season and guests. The best e-racers will also compete, but in specific races.
“We were delighted with the success with our audience and we look forward to continuing the action”, commented Paul Bellamy, Vice President of Motorsports Events at IMG.
The season will begin on May 31 at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi. The program will then evolve with Hell, Höljes and Le Cap.
