Special ONE Racing is not giving up. Almost four months later the fire that affected its location in the Lydden Hill paddock (United Kingdom) and unfortunately charred its two Lancia Deltas, the tricolor structure is still awaiting answers from the FIA whose investigation is still ongoing.
In October, the team which entered its cars for Guerlain Chicherit and Sébastien Loeb had regretted “ apathetic management of the aftermath of the fire “, lamenting” the fact that no analysis report and official results have been communicated by the FIA, nor by Kreisel Electric (the battery supplier). »
The message seems to have been heard by the governing bodies since Special ONE Racing now notes “ with satisfaction that the FIA, aware of the difficulties which the team is facing following the incident at Lydden Hill, is putting all the means at its disposal to identify the cause."
Both camps are now awaiting the analysis reports (carried out by Kreissel Electric on samples taken after the fire) which should make it possible to know the origin of the problem.
While waiting for the final response, Special ONE Racing is already preparing for 2024 and is pleased that the federation is doing everything necessary to ensure that World RX still takes place next year. in complete safety for all teams. » An edition in which Sébastien Lesonneur's team hopes to participate.
