While all the major disciplines of motorsport have gone in recent years in search of a utopian capped budget, others have never stopped offering formats that are accessible both from a material and budgetary point of view. The most striking example is that of slalom, where it is still possible to participate in events... with your everyday car, while paying for a day license from the FFSA. A real foot in the stirrup halfway between the karting and the automobile categories, already allowing you to get a taste for competition. In slalom, the logical continuation is the Hill Climb. Whether practicing in an open or closed car, the Mountain remains an affordable discipline that many drivers choose to feel the adrenaline of speed. To get started, some drivers first start by renting a car in order to gauge themselves, as is the case in rally. But unlike this discipline, mountain dwellers generally prefer to purchase their horses, partly due to the lower mileage imposed on the Coast compared to rallying. However, solutions exist to try out the Mountain without having to invest in a racing car and several entities offer their services.
