Raphaël Astier: “TheAlpine is truly stunning”

For his fifth participation in the “race to the clouds”, Raphaël Astier will start a Alpine A110 in Time Attack category. The 32-year-old from Ardéchois is delighted with this new adventure at the wheel of a car with which he already has great sensations.

Before participating in this edition with Alpine, what does Pikes Peak mean to you?

I have always been attracted to the great American outdoors. The environment where this pretty crazy race of around twenty kilometers takes place is truly magnificent. It's an event that I really wanted to compete in and that I have already had the chance to face four times. I went there with Romain Dumas' team et je l’ai aussi faite au sein du team américain BBI Autosport. J’y ai essentiellement piloté des Porsche qui ont progressé d’année en année. La dernière, en 2021, était super avec ses 1000 chevaux.
