Dominant at the end of the first climb of the race contested last night, Yannick Poinsignon continued his momentum to score his first success of the season, the fourth of his career at the wheel of the BMW M3 E92.

Engaged in the European round, Ronald Garcès was therefore playing both sides in Saint-Jean-du-Gard: he must however be content with second position overall ahead of Paul Reutter, as was already the case at the end of the day of Saturday.

If Billy Ritchen had ended the first day in the lead, we thought Damien Chambérod would be able to pick him up. Certainly, the Isère player spat on his hands, but that was without counting on a Ritchen of the great days who offers himself his second career success.

Damien Chambérod therefore finished, as in Bagnols-Sabran, in second position in the general classification, still ahead of Sébastien Petit who at the same time took fourth position in the European round.

The next meeting for mountain leaders will be the 50th Abreschviller – Saint-Quirin Coastal Race, in Moselle, at the end of April. We should find Fabien Bourgeon there on the Revolt 3P0 E2SC 1.7 Turbo.
