Like a feeling of déjà vu: for the second time in two days, United Autosports displayed all its power and all its experience to win the 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi. However, the Anglo-American team came to Abu Dhabi to allow its young driver Josh Pierson, only 16 years old, to practice his skills in Endurance, who had previously only competed in the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January with PR1/Mathiasen Motorsport. Associated with the Briton Paul di Resta, Josh Pierson impressed with his speed and his maturity in managing the race during this double headers final of the Asian Le Mans Series. Two promising races for those who will compete in the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans with this team this season. The duo beat the champion trio of this 2022 season for Nielsen Racing: Rodrigo Sales, Matt Bell, Ben Hanley. A crew which will also see the double round of the Sarthe clock in June thanks to this title.

In the LM P3 category, if G-Drive won after having retired the day before due to a fire, the drivers can say thank you to their mechanics for having put the Ligier JS P320-Nissan no. 26 back in shape for this second race of the weekend. A great reward for them, as well as for the staff of the French manufacturer present on site, who did not sleep much last night to allow this. Behind the trio Fabrice Rossello, Xavier Lloveras, Viacheslav Gutak, the fight was intense for the invitation to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. DKR Engineering was quickly erased from the equation by High Class Racing's LM P2 Pro-Am, with Dennis Andersen destroying the rear of the #30 Duqueine M08-D2-Nissan then driven by Sebastian Alvarez, the last hopes of the The Luxembourg team flew away in this clash while the Danish team left the LM P2 Pro-Am title to Graff Racing in the affair. Nielsen Racing thought it could take advantage of this to get a second ticket in the Sarthe, but the No. 8 car had to retire to its box while leading the race and the championship due to excessive damage. Once again, CD Sport places its two cars on the podium and will therefore go to Sarthe in LM P2, perhaps with a Ligier. Without having the best pace, the Spanish flag team was able to finish each race while avoiding problems. Isn't that ultimately the very essence of Endurance?

In GT, Herbeth Motorsport finished on an excellent note with a double: the Porsche No. 91 of Alfred Renauer, Robert Renauer and Ralf Bohn is ahead of No. 33 of Antares Au, Yifei Ye and Klaus Bachler, who started in pole position. There McLaren n°7 of Inception Racing (Brendan Iribe, Ollie Millroy, Ben Barnicoat) will travel to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Finally, an incredible outcome in GT Pro-Am since Kessel Racing (Roman Ziemian, Francesco Zollo, Axcil Jefferies) and SPS automotive performance (Valentin Pierburg, John Loggie, Mikaël Grenier), first and second this Sunday, finished... in a perfect tie in the championship ! It was ultimately the SPS team which was named champion for having won the first race of the season.
