Phil Hanson was the fastest in Free Practice 1 of the 4 Hours of Spa this Friday on the Toboggan des Ardennes with the No. 22 United Autosports Oreca in 2:04.977. The British driver beat Patrick Pilet for IDEC Sport by 0.239 seconds and Fabio Scherer by 1.116 seconds in the No. 43 Inter Europol Competition.
In LM P3, it was Malthe Jakobsen who dominated the driving session with the COOL Racing Ligier JS P320 – Nissan. The Dane beat Nico Pino in the Inter Europol Competition by 0.683 seconds and Valentino Catalano by 0.856 seconds in the No. 15 RLR MSport, for a hat-trick for the French manufacturer.
Du côté des LM GTE, c’est le Belge Alessio Picariello qui s’est montré le plus véloce à domicile avec un tour en 2:16.946 au volant de la Porsche 911 RSR – 19 n°18 d’Absolute Racing. Le Belge a pris le meilleur sur Richard Lietz (Porsche n°93 de Proton Competition) pour 0.586 seconde et sur Matthew Payne (Ferrari No. 66 of JMW Motorsport).
