Asian Le Mans Series – Race Performance and DC Racing winners at Fuji

The Eurasia Motorsport Oreca 03 having suffered a battery problem, Race Performance had no trouble winning the 2 Hours of Fuji, the opening round of the Asian Le Mans Series 2015-2016. At the wheel of their No. 03 Oreca 8 R-Judd, the Japanese Shinji Nakano and the Swiss Nicolas Leutwiler completed no less than 70 laps. The first named also set the best lap in the race in 1’35”694.

In second place in the general classification, one loop further, we find the McLaren 650S GT3 from Clearwater Racing entrusted to Rob Bell, Keita Sawa and Mak Weng Sung, who also won the GT category.

The three men beat the #3 David Cheng Racing Ligier JS P1-Nissan. The latest creation from Onroak Automotive therefore did not miss its competition debut, well led by a 100% Chinese duo combining Ho-Pin Tung to David Cheng. The two ADESS 03-Nissans from Team AAI, however, had more difficulty, the No. 88 completing 48 laps compared to six for the No. 89.

The second of the four rounds on the program is scheduled for November 8, at the Sepang circuit, Malaysia.
