Asian LMS – Onroak launches the Ligier Asian Challenge

Onroak Automotive intends to give a helping hand to develop the CN category which will be present for the next three seasons in Asian Le Mans Series. “I am very happy with the ACO?s decision to have opened the Asian Le Mans Series to CN prototypes, thus promoting a path towards the LMP2 category and the 24 Hours of Le Mans,” comments Jacques Nicolet, President of Onroak Automotive. “The “Ligier Asian Challenge” goes in this direction, and with this project we wish to support the development of this new category in the Asian Le Mans Series. In addition to the two Morgan LMP2s already entered by Oak Racing and Craft Bamboo Racing, two Ligier JS 53 Evos have already left for the Asian continent for customers wishing to enter them from 2014. These CN prototypes, thanks to their price/performance ratio, will quickly swell the ranks of prototypes in Asia. As in all series where chassis of its design are entered, an Onroak Automotive team will technically assist all our CN Ligier customer teams during the season. »
