Bourdais: “Elements of comparison”

The entire team Peugeot Sport made the trip to Belgium, for the second round of the Le Mans Series. Last race before 24 Hours of Le Mans, this event is a real dress rehearsal for the French team. No risks will therefore be taken, so as not to compromise their chances for the meeting in mid-June. But as Bruno Famin says “When do pilots wear helmets? ». And it's not Sébastien Bourdais who will contradict him.

“We will do everything to win, the driver of Peugeot number 3 told us. For Le Mans it will give us some indications. But they should be taken with a grain of salt. Perhaps not everyone will show all their cards this weekend. Then obviously the risk-taking will be limited, but we will already have small elements of comparison.”

For the ex-pilot Toro Rosso, this second event of the 2010 Le Mans Series will constitute his first race on the Ardennes slide in the seat of the 908 HDi FAP. But for the moment, it's difficult to get an idea as the track conditions are delicate.

After taking the wheel of the lioness on a greasy track during the first free practice session, Sébastien Bourdais was able to drive his mount on the dry, for the second session. And the least we can say for the moment is that everything is going well for the Peugeot that the quadruple champion Champcar shares with simon pagenaud and Pedro Lamy. After setting the third best time at the start of the afternoon, the no. 908 3 HDi FAP was the fastest at the end of the day.
