June 15, 2010, Pescarolo Sport is placed in liquidation. A website called Pescarolo 2011 was then created, allowing fans and friends of the former French driver to leave messages of support. A site foreshadowing a return to the circuits? At the time, it was too early to tell. But the four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans had always proclaimed that he remained hopeful of succeeding in putting together a team?

“I have not given up on redoing, on new bases, a great racing program.Endurance, with my faithful partners, and others whom I invite to join me, he then declared. The encouragement and promises coming from all sides during the 24 Hours weekend encouraged me not to give up. »

And Henri Pescarolo would have been wrong not to persevere, since his wish was granted thanks to the help of Joël Rivière and Jacques Nicolet (see here).

Whatever happens, pilots, colleagues, journalists, friends, etc.? The messages posted were numerous. No wonder seeing the impressive number of green flags which still flew in the stands of the 24 Hours circuit last June, despite the absence of the local team on the track.

“The counter of messages of support on www.pescarolo2011 spontaneously went crazy, even though the sale was just ending at Le Mans, admits Pesca on the website in question. It’s fantastic, and this momentum goes straight to my heart.”

It was then that he recently came up with the idea of ​​launching a subscription, in order to give the possibility to anyone who wishes to make a contribution, more or less important, in order to help the greens find the starting grids, and thus participate in the adventure of this team. A subscription on which we can read: “Because small streams make big rivers, and Henri Pescarolo does not want to discourage any good will? ». “PR-GR” is also the name that will be given to this subscription.

“Many offer their help, wishing to make their contribution” admits the record holder for participations in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

You can join (10€) the association or join and make a donation (minimum 100€). Donor members will become partners of Pescarolo Team, and will be able to attend private events such as, among other things, meetings with the drivers and different members of the Sarthe team. In addition, a stand panel will be dedicated to them, installed in the box during each race and in the workshop.

Indeed, the hardest part begins now, as Henri Pescarolo himself recalled on Pescarolo2011.com:

“Everything remains to be done: we once again have a working tool, a competent and motivated team, and potentially very good pilots; but we still have to restart the machine and survive until the partnerships currently being negotiated come to fruition.”

Hence this interesting initiative taken by Team Pescarolo, which invites its fans to be an integral part of the new adventure of a team whose ambition is to add many more trophies to an already full collection.
