ELMS – Arthur Pic and Andrea Roda with Loeb Racing

The Sebastian Loeb Racing had missed the previous round of the European Le Mans Series in Austria on the Red Bull Ring and will make his return to the discipline next weekend on the Paul Ricard track in the Var. For the occasion, the Citroën WTCC driver's team will modify its lines. Vincent Capillaire, holder since the start of the year, will be joined by the Frenchman Arthur Pic, who competes in the GP2 Series at Campos Racing, and by the Italian Andrea Roda, an Auto GP resident at Virtuosi UK who will take his place. by Jan Charouz, usual teammate of Capillaire in ELMS.

“For many reasons, the opportunity was perfect to debut Arthur and Andrea in Endurance, explains Franck Tiné, Sports Director of Sébastien Loeb Racing. We are really happy to see these two young and talented drivers taking their first steps in prototypes. With Vincent, who will be able to pass on his experience of the team and the car to them, they form a very good crew. We have high hopes for this home race. We have full confidence in Arthur and Andrea to learn and adapt quickly to LM P2 and thus perform very well in the race. »

The two young recruits will therefore move from car in endurance during the French ELMS meeting. They do not hide their impatience but also their caution before approaching this new experience. “Endurance has always tempted me and I therefore seized this opportunity to race with Sébastien Loeb Racing, confides Arthur Pic. It's a set of things that interests me: I want to familiarize myself with this type of event and I'm curious to see how it will go. It?s always interesting for a pilot to know other disciplines in order to be as complete as possible. I am here to learn and bring my experience of single-seaters. »

“It will be my first time in a prototype and in an endurance race, so almost everything will be new for me, recalls Andrea Roda. I wanted to discover the LM P2. I want to do a good job, without making mistakes. We will see during testing how competitive we are, but I am hopeful that we can achieve a good result. »
