ELMS – G-Drive takes the title at Portimao

G-Drive Racing only needed a fourth place to secure the title in ELMS at the end of the 4 Hours of Portimao (Portugal). The Russian structure, managed this year by Dragonspeed, won the title for the second year in a row. Memo Rojas and Léo Roussel become the new champions, Ryo Hirakawa having missed two events due to his commitment to Super GT with Toyota.

United Autosports was unable to catch up, the Ligier JS P217 of Filipe Albuquerque, Will Owen and Hugo de Sadeleer having finished on the second step of the podium ahead of the Dallara P217 of SMP Racing still driven by Matevos Isakyaan and Egor Orudzhev. The American team's race was disrupted by a 55-second stop & go due to the Swiss speeding in the pits.

After Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), Graff Racing signs its second consecutive victory with the Oreca 07 of Richard Bradley, James Allen and Gustavo Yacaman. The second LMP2 from the French outfit was less successful since Paul Petit retired after hitting the pit entrance when he lost control of the Oreca 07.

United Autosports consoles itself with the LMP3 title. While the #3 Ligier JS P2 of Sean Rayhall and John Falb had started from the back of the pack, the class-leading crew was able to move up positions to secure second place behind the sister car of Christian England, Wayne Boyd and Mark Patterson. M. Racing – YMR, the last team able to compete for the title, completed the podium with the Ligier of Antoine Jung, Alexandre Cougnaud and Romano Ricci.

JMW Motorsport wins the GTE title with the Ferrari 488 by Robert Smith and Jody Fannin joined during the season by Will Stevens. The No. 66 finished behind the Porsche 911 RSR 991 from Proton Competition led by Matteo Cairoli, Christian Ried and Joël Camathias who took his first victory of the season in ELMS. Lacking pace on the Algarve circuit, theAston Martin TF Sport's Vantage, entrusted to Nicki Thiim, Euan Hankey and Salih Yoluc, completes the podium in the category after entering the final at the top of the ranking.
