ELMS / Le Mans – Morand Racing becomes NewBlood by Morand Racing

At the dawn of this 2014 season which will see Morand Racing take part in the European Le Mans Series and the 82nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans if his application is accepted by the ACO (Response around 15 p.m. this afternoon), Benoît Morand wants to breathe new life into his team. So much the better, this ambition is in perfect agreement with the new name of his team, NewBlood by Morand Racing (NewBlood means new blood).

There is some new blood in his crew, since in ELMS, the Austrian Christian Klien (51 Grand Prix of Formula 1), who finished 2013 with the Swiss team, will be supported by the Swiss Gary Hirsch, winner of the series last year in LM PC with the Team Endurance Oreca Challenge. If the equipment does not change, namely a Morgan LM P2 chassis made by Onroak Automotive equipped with a Judd engine and shod with Dunlop tires, the ambitions are clearly on the rise, since the Swiss are simply planning to glean victories and a title . But could it be otherwise after the three podiums in five races collected last year, and this without counting a fifth place in category, an 11th overall, at the end of the double clock tour in Sarthe.
