ELMS / Le Mans – Oliver Webb with Signatech-Alpine in 2014.

Last year, the A 450s dominated the championship ELMS 2013 and the team brought back the Drivers and Team titles. “ This second season turns out to be even more exciting! The whole team is ready to renew this challenge with particular motivation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans » explains Philippe Sinault, Team Principal. More than the ELMS therefore, the team is aiming for a podium in LM P2 during the 24 Hours of Le Mans (June 14-15).

For this, it will be able to count on its drivers lined up this season, Paul-Loup Chatin, reserve driver last year and the Briton Oliver Webb, from the car, who will be the new kids alongside Nelson Panciatici, champion in 2013. “It’s a new adventure for me, Webb explains. “ I like the spirit that reigns in Endurance. The idea of doing a team race appeals to me. Driving for Signatech-Alpine is the best way to get started in the category. Alpine is a brand that is part of the automobile heritage and the history of Le Mans. We have already started working together. The team is very professional, friendly and united. There is a beautiful atmosphere which certainly counts in the results already achieved. »

Initially, two cars were to be lined up with Pierre Ragues at the wheel, but after the announcement of the entry list for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the second blue car found itself on the list of alternates, Signatech revised its plans, leaving Ragues at the dock.

The first tests of the ELMS 2014 will take place on April 1 and 2 on the Paul Ricard circuit.
