ELMS – Le Thiriet by TDS Racing winner at Imola

After taking the last step of the podium at the 3 Hours of Silverstone, which was shortened due to bad weather conditions, the Thiriet by TDS Racing returned to victory at the 3 Hours of Imola after having completed a perfect race with Pierre Thiriet and Mathias Beche who were his return to the French team by replacing Jonathan Hirschi. L'Alpine A450 takes its first podium, the crew of Pierre Ragues and Nelson Panciatici falling less than 50 seconds behind the victorious car. Morand Racing also put in a good performance by taking third place with the Morgan-Judd of Franck Mailleux and Natacha Ganchnang.

The Oreca 03-Judd of Frey-Niederhauser fails 20 seconds from the podium while the Zytek Z11SN-Nissan of Greaves Motorsport completes the top five following a one-minute stop & go inflicted on David Heinemeier Hansson for crossing the line exiting the stands. Jota Sport's Zytek retired at the end of the race but no longer had any hope of a good result following contact between Simon Dola and a competitor.

Paul Loup Chatin and Gary Hirsch achieved success in LMPC after having encountered no problems during the three hours of racing. The FLM09 finished seventh in the general classification. In GTE, Ram Racing took victory with the Ferrari 458 Italia of Matt Griffin and Johnny Mowlem. The cars of Maranello are in the spotlight since Gunnar Jeannette and Franck Montecalvo, the second Ram Racing crew, climbed to the last step of the podium behind the F458 AF Corse of Leo-Cioci-Perazzini. SMP Racing wins in GTC with the F458 Italia of Babini-Shaitar-Ladygin.
