Murphy Prototypes will work on two fronts in 2016 in the new season ofELMS. In addition to the Oreca 03R entered in LMP2, the Irish team will enter a Riley-Ave AR-2 in the LMP3 category which is very successful.
Tony Ave, the structure of the same name designed the Riley, will be hired alongside Doug Peterson. Both Americans won several Trans-Am titles.
“After four years of competing in ELMS as a private team, we are delighted to represent a manufacturer for the first time. We will also benefit from our partnership with Oreca for engines in the category”, commented Greg Murphy, Team Principal of Murphy Prototypes.
