ELMS – Oak impressed by the winning crew

the Morgan-Nissan driven by Dimitri Enjalbert, Olivier Pla and Bertrand Baguette which won the British event. The crew of the No. 35 had, however, had a disastrous start to the weekend, suffering numerous mechanical problems preventing the car from taking to the track during testing. Qualified in sixth place thanks to a solid performance from Olivier Pla, his teammates Dimitri Enjalbert, who was making his debut in the discipline, and Bertrand Baguette produced very good relays to secure victory and move up to third place in the Championship.

The performance achieved by the Morgan-Nissan crew impressed the leaders of the French structure, who ensured the victory of Oak Racing which is now only two points behind Thiriet by TDS Racing at the top of the Teams Championship . “As the owner of the team, I am very happy with this result”, comments Jacques Nicolet who took sixth place with his teammate Matthieu Lahaye on the Morgan-Judd. ?It?s a great reward for the work accomplished by the team. Sometimes work alone is not enough and you have to be able to align a certain number of things with difficulty. We cannot say that No.35 left in good conditions. The crew hardly drove in practice and Olivier (Pla) had to qualify without getting into the car first. »

This victory is all the more satisfying as it was achieved with Dimitri Enjalbert who was making his first race with the Morgan. “The position of Dimitri (Enjalbert) was not easy because he has little experience and had almost never driven in the car”, would like to highlight Sébastien Philippe, the Team Principal of the French team. ?It wasn?t easy for him to take the wheel in the lead but he knew how to manage his stint well. Olivier (Pla) once again delivered a first-class performance until the checkered flag. »
