ELMS – Sir Chris Hoy in LMP3 with Le Mans in his sights

Sir Chris Hoy will enter LMP3 in a Ginetta-Nissan and will take part in the Test Day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Briton hopes to compete in the Sarthe event in 2016.

ELMS – Sir Chris Hoy in LMP3 with Le Mans in his sights

After competing in the British GT in a Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 in the colors of Team RJN, Sir Chris Hoy will tackle theELMS at the wheel of a Ginetta-Nissan LMP3. The track cyclist six-time Olympic gold medalist has successfully launched into motorsport since last year and is now looking to dig into endurance. The 38-year-old Briton will evolve alongside Scot Charlie Robertson, reigning winner of the Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup aged only 17.

Sir Chris Hoy's ultimate goal will be to dispute the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016. . The athlete will therefore participate in the Test Day of the Sarthe double clock tower on May 31. “It’s a new step that brings me closer to the competition at Le Mans”, confirmed this Nissan ambassador. “I have gained a lot of experience this year in British GT, but I still have a lot to learn to close the gap to Le Mans. »
