“I will now focus on the FIA WEC and my first season in LMP1 with Team Rebellion Racing, comments the Asian Le Mans Series champion. I now live near the Oreca workshops so that I can get involved in the development of the Rebellion R13. It’s a new approach to the profession of pilot that fascinates me. »
“I also invested time in my sports preparation, continues the Vendéen. I am disappointed not to be able to participate in this ELMS season with APR-Rebellion. I was delighted to return to this Championship in which I made my debut as well as my Asian Le Mans Series teammate, Harrison Newey. Despite the efforts of Calim Bouhadra, director of Rebellion, we were unable to find a solution for me when setting up the ELMS project. »
Thomas Laurent clarified that he was not closing the door on other commitments in ELMS or in IMSA This year.
