ELMS – Turvey offers Jota a new pole at Imola

The Jota Sport will once again be taken seriously. Oliver Turvey won his second consecutive pole on the Imola circuit by winning in front of the Oreca 03 of Thiriet by TDS Racing.

ELMS – Turvey offers Jota a new pole at Imola

Oliver Turvey takes his second consecutive pole at the wheel of the Zytek Z11SN-Nissan from the Jota Sport team. After winning qualifying and the race at Silverstone, the No. 38 once again stood out on the Imola circuit with a best time of 1'34"343. Mathias Beche was the closest, falling by more than half a second on the Oreca 03-Nissan of Thiriet by TDS Racing. The second row is completed by the Oreca 03-Nissan of Murphy Prototypes driven by Brendon Hartley and by theAlpine A450 led by Nelson Panciatici. Tom Kimber-Smith completed the top five in the Greaves Motorsport Zytek.

Gary Hirsch took pole in the LMPC category with a time of 1'39"222 which allowed the #09 FLM49 to start from tenth place ahead of the Lola B11/40-Judd of DKR Engineering. Ram Racing will start on pole in the GTE thanks to a time of 1'41"994 set by Matt Griffin on the Ferrari 458 Italia. Patrick Long a échoué à moins d’un dixième avec la Porsche 911 GT3 RSR IMSA Matmut performance. Peter Kox was the fastest GTC with a time of 1'43"752 achieved at the wheel of his Lamborghini Gallardo LP600. Stefano Gai follows almost four tenths behind in the #458 F62 Italia from the AF Corse team.

The start of the race will be at 16 p.m. and will be followed live on Motors TV.
