ELMS – A reinforced starting grid in 2016

15 LM P2, 20 LM P3 and 9 GTE will be present in European Le Mans Series in 2016, as revealed by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest this Friday during its traditional press conference in Paris.

The starting grid will be significantly strengthened compared to 2015, with the notable arrivals of the BR 01 of Team Courage in LM P2 (the team is also present on the list of substitutes for the 24 Hours of Le Mans) or the So24 teams! By Lombard Racing and Panis-Barthez Competition.

It is the LM P3 category which attracts attention with 20 cars entered, including 19 Ligier JS P3s. Among the French teams, note the arrival of two examples for Duqueine Engineering (including one for David Hallyday), and the entries of Panis-Barthez Compétition, Graff Racing, M.Racing Yvan Muller Racing and Oak Racing. Only one non-Ligier LM P3 will be there with the Riley-Ave AR-2-Nissan from Murphy Prototypes.

In GTE, the Ferrari 458 Italia d’AF Corse, de AT Racing, JMW Motorsports et Formula Racing seront en force face aux deux Porsche 911 du Proton Competition et aux deux Aston Martin Vantage, including the TDS Racing example.
