ELMS – Villorba Corse enters LM P3

The Italian stable Villorba Corsica will engage this season as part of the European Le Mans TV Shows, a Ginetta-Nissan LM P3, released from the British workshops of the structure of Lawrence Tomlinson. The prototype will be entrusted to the pair Giorgio Sernagiotto – Roberto Lacorte, of which the Pharmanutra group will be the main partner. The formation will be renamed Cetilar Villorba Corse for the occasion and aims to ultimately participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which is a regular presenter in the GT fields, in GT Open or in the Blancpain GT Series. “Thanks to this important milestone, the 24 Hours of Le Mans are closer than ever, admits Lacorte. It’s an honor to be on this road with the Cetilar Villorba Corse. L'ELMS will be a tough training season which will strongly involve the team and the drivers with the sole aim of doing a good job. »

“I am aware that the ELMS will not be easy due to the very high level, and the very short time frame for receiving the car., adds Sernagiotto. I have always dreamed of the Sport Prototype, and thanks to my teammate and the team, this dream will come true. »

“This prototype program brings great motivation within our structure, continues the Team Principal Raimundo Amadio. This is a firm step towards the consolidation and diversification of our sporting activities. I am happy to start in a completely new category such as LM P3 which I believe is ideal to begin a process that will allow us to progress in the most important endurance events. Taking part in the “Road to Le Mans” project alongside such determined people and companies represents an additional incentive to do well. »

The first round of the 2015 ELMS will take place at Silverstone in England from April 10 to 11. Before that, the teams will be on track at Paul Ricard in the Var, for the official tests scheduled for March 23 and 24, the same week as the Prologue of the WEC (March 27-28).
