Extreme Limite aims for Top 6 in ELMS

Last September 25, in Estoril, for the closing round of the Le Mans Series, the Extreme Limite team took third place on the LMP2 podium. A magnificent result, allowing us to approach the off-season with increased motivation. This year, the Nantes team is leaving for a new European campaign, and with the same equipment, namely the Norma M200P. “We have a solid working base which allows us to be confident for 2012, underlines Director Patrice Roussel. Our podium at Estoril and the tests carried out, among others, on the Bugatti circuit in mid-December, confirmed that we are progressing very quickly in performance! »

Regulations require, the car will evolve aerodynamically, notably with the appearance of the "shark fin" and gills above the wheels. The team members also worked on some small details. All these new features will be tested in mid-February on the Lurcy-Lévis circuit, in Allier. On the engine side, Extreme Limite Aric also focuses on continuity. “Judd worked a lot on the HK this winter, continues Patrice Roussel. He was very reliable in 2011 and we think he has the potential to be ahead in 2012.”

Fabien Rosier, winner of the 2011 Jean Rondeau Prize, is currently the only confirmed driver. Otherwise, the squad looks very similar to last year. The only notable change is the arrival of Christophe Boittin, ex-Barazi / Epsilon, who will serve as Operations Engineer. “Christophe already joined the team last year at Spa and Le Mans and his experience of LMP2 at the highest level will be valuable to us”, specifies Patrice Roussel. Apart fromELMS, Extreme Limite Aric has submitted a request for an invitation to the next 24 Hours of Le Mans, an event which she finished last year in 28th position, first not classified. Only five more days to wait to know the answer (the list of participants in the WEC and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be revealed next Thursday at 15:30 p.m.).
