Fabien Barthez announces his withdrawal from Panis-Barthez Competition

Initiated in 2016 with an association between Fabien Barthez and Olivier Panis and the technical support of the Toulouse structure of Simon and Sarah Abadie Tech1 Racing, the Panis-Barthez Compétition team will experience a turning point at the end of 2019.

Fabien Barthez confirmed this Monday the end of his involvement, “by removing my name and my image from the team previously called “Panis-Barthez Compétition”. I would like to thank all the teams with whom I have been able to share these four seasons as well as the Total group and its Sponsoring and Competition Director, Pierre-Gautier Caloni.

I also extend all my thanks to the ACO which allowed me, thanks to its invitation, to participate twice in the 24 Hours of Le Mans »

Evolving mainly in ELMS and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in LM P2, the entity launched this year into the deep end of GT3 in collaboration with Lexus. No further information has been received regarding the future name of the team.

Fabien Barthez drove in FFSAGT with AKKA-ASP this season, the team with which he was crowned French champion in 2013, but also in GT World Challenge Europe with the RC F GT3 – Tech1 Racing.
