G-Drive wins the 4h of Monza

G-Drive Racing scored its first victory of the season by winning the 4 Hours of Monza (Italy) with the Aurus 01 of Norman Nato, Roman Rusinov and Job van Uitert. This success was hard fought since the reigning champion team only won with a lead of 2 seconds over the #07 Oreca 28 of Idec Sport Racing driven by Paul-Loup Chatin, Paul Lafargue and Memo Rojas who had been penalized in qualifying.

Uunited Autosports completed the podium with the #217 Ligier JS P32 of Alex Brundle, Ryan Cullen and Will Owen ahead of the sister car of Filipe Albuquerque and Phil Hanson. Graff Racing completed the Top 5 with the Oreca 07 of Jonathan Hirschi, Alexandre Cougnaud and Tristan Gommendy which was in the lead for a good part of the event.

The Ligier JS P3s monopolized the podium in the LMP3 category with a victory for the Eurointernational team and its drivers Mikkel Jensen and Jens Petersen. The top three was completed by Hippe-Moore in the No. 13 from Inter Europol Competition and Boyd-Grist-Erdos in the No. 2 from United Autosports.

Le Dempsey Proton Competition s’est imposé en GTE avec la Porsche 911 RSR de Christian Ried, Matteo Cairoli et Ricciardo Pera. The German mount preceded the Ferrari 488 GTE from JMW Motorsport (with Segal-Cressoni-Lu) and Luzich Racing (with Pier Guidi-Nielsen-Lavergne).
