IDEC Sport with two LM P2s and Patrick Pilet

European ChampionEndurance 2019, IDEC Sport strengthens its involvement in the European Le Mans Series. Paul-Loup Chatin, winner of the 24 Hours of Daytona at the end of January in LM P2, returns to the seat of the No. 28 for the fourth consecutive year, still alongside Paul Lafargue. They will be joined by the pilot Porsche Patrick Pilet, who left his mark on the team in recent 24 Hours of Le Mans, replacing on n°17 Dwight Merriman, injured in free practice on Wednesday.

During testing, the two cars entered with great ambitions suffered a major accident, which deprived them of qualifying. They came back up just in time for the race, which was a comeback from last position to sixth.

The trio should allow IDEC Sport to get back on track after a 2020 season ending in a disappointing ninth place. 

To do this, Patrice Lafargue's structure is taking a new step by entering two cars throughout the championship. On the No. 27 entered in Pro-Am, we find the trio who won the 24 2021 Hours of Daytona with Era Motorsport, Kyle Tilley (the boss of Era), Dwight Merriman and the very experienced Ryan Dalziel. The first two already drove for IDEC at Le Mans last year.

« We will do theELMS together and will await the decision of the ACO committee for the two entries that we submitted for the 24 2021 Hours of Le Mans» specifies Minassian, promoted to team principal.

Furthermore, IDEC will enter a Ligier JSP320 in the Michelin Le Mans Cup for Patrice Lafargue and Dimitri Enjalbert.
