The 2009 entry list

With 12 LMP1, 16 LMP2, 4 LMGT1 and 17 LMGT2, there will be a total of 49 cars in LMS this year.

In LMP1, we note the arrival of the Lola-Aston Martin of the Charouz/Mücke/Enge and Primat/Turner/Ramos crews against the two private Audi R10 TDIs that the Kolles team will field on this occasion for Bakkerud, Meyrick, Karthikeyan and Albers. Signature-Plus will also make its debut in the category, with a private Courage-Oreca, while a Ginetta-Zytek will be entrusted to LNT and Strakka. Nothing changes at Oreca and Pescarolo, who will once again enter two prototypes each.

It will be necessary to add the participation of Peugeot Sport over several events, the Sochaux team having chosen to select the races it will compete in. It will in fact skip the inaugural round, but will be present at the 1000 Km of Spa-Francorchamps and probably at other events after the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In GT1 there will no longer be any Corvettes or Aston Martins entered all year round. So there are only two Saleen S7-Rs left, a Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT and a Ferrari 550 Maranello. However, the C6.R. du Luc Alphand Adventures will be there during the first round in Catalonia.

There are many more entrants in GT2, with a total of 14 crews. It must be said that this category allows private teams to play in the big leagues with the most reasonable budgets. Two new teams are appearing in this category: Easyrace which, as its name does not indicate, is Italian and the British JMW Motorsports.
