TDS Racing aims for victory in LMP2

After the Imola meeting, TDS Racing occupies fourth place in the LMP2 category in LMS, just two points behind Boutsen Energy Racing. At the wheel of the No. 03 Oreca 46 Nissan, the Thiriet-Beche-Firth crew is preparing to compete in the 6 Hours of Silverstone, which they will approach with their sights set on victory to maintain their chances of winning the title.

Jody Firth is looking forward to his domestic race at Silverstone where set-up will be of paramount importance on this demanding track. “I am an ambitious person, so I would have liked to win the other three races”, admits the Briton. “The start of the season was enriching for me. Silverstone is one of my favorite tracks. It is a route which requires having a perfectly balanced car, with strong downforce given the high speeds encountered. »

The TDS Racing resident finds it difficult to hide the pressure that arises from the importance of this meeting, where a victory would symbolize the return of the team to the forefront to compete for the title. “Oreca works hard so that we can have an efficient car”, adds the Briton. “The mechanical grip is very good, which will allow us to use the tires to perfection. We will have to win, but the competition is tough. I am well integrated into TDS Racing. The whole team is French, but they only switched to English for me. »
