LMS: Aston Martin wins from the start

After leading for most of the race and being more than forty seconds ahead of theAston Martin 007 of Stefan Mücke forty minutes from the finish, the No. 16 Pescarolo of Christophe Tinseau saw its advantage reduced to nothing by the entry onto the track of the safety car (immobilization of the second official Aston Martin on the track).

As soon as the race restarted, Stefan Mücke inevitably returned in the wake of Christophe Tinseau to finally overtake him and definitively take the lead twenty-five minutes from the finish.

Author of an exemplary race, the Ortelli/Senna team (Ayrton's nephew was starting in LMS) at the wheel of the No. 10 Courage-Oreca inherits the 3rd step of the podium following the abandonment of the second Official Aston Martin from Primat/Ramos/Turner. Also a notable debut for the Signature team for its first race in the discipline since it placed its Courage-Oreca entrusted to the French crew Ragues/Mailleux in 4th place overall.

In LMP2, the Racing Box team places its two Lolas in 1st and 3rd places, while the Ginetta Zytek of the Quifel-ASM Team driven in particular by Frenchman Olivier Pla slots in 2nd place.

IN GT1, the Lamborghini Murcielago (IPB Spartak Racing) of Rusinov/Kox won ahead of the Corvette C6-R (Luc Alphand Aventures) of Alphand/Goueslard/Clairay by 2 laps and the Saleen S7R (Larbre Compétition) of Berville/Dumiez /Zacchia with 5 turns.

Enfin, en GT2, la Porsche RSR (Team Felbermayr – Proton) confiée aux pilotes de la marque, Marc Lieb et Richard Lietz, l’emporte devant une armada de Ferrari F430.
