Lucas Ordonez proved the extent of his talent by driving the Signatech Oreca 03-Nissan during the 2011 season. The Spaniard from the GT Academy distinguished himself by finishing second in the LMP2 category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Soheil Ayari and Franck Mailleux. The crew of the French team then failed six laps behind the Greaves Motorsport Zytek-Nissan. This year, the British team will welcome the young Hispanic who will play the entire season.ELMS and which is already registered for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“The year 2011 was incredible for me”, comments Lucas Ordonez. “I learned a lot with Signatech Nissan. They believed in me and trusted me. Nissan presented me with a new challenge: to win a Championship. With two top teammates and a team that is already champion, I can only aim for the ELMS title. The 24 Hours of Le Mans will once again be a big challenge for me and I am looking forward to driving with Martin (Brundle, who will replace Tom Kimber-Smith for this event) because I will learn a lot with him. I think we will form one of the best crews in the category. »
