Nielsen Racing wins MLMC at Monza

Colin Noble and Anthony Wells won the first Michelin event Le Mans Cup at Monza at the wheel of the Nielsen Racing Ligier JS P3. The British crew took advantage of the stop & go inflicted on the Norma M30 DKR of Julien Glorieux and Alexander Toril for infringement during the stop, while the Spaniard was about to regain the lead of the race after his teammate Belgian led the first part of the event. The Luxembourg team nevertheless took second place.

Spirit of Race completes the podium with Maurizio Mediani and Claudio Sdanewitsch. The top five is completed by Graff Racing with Émilien Carde and Adrien Chila and Motorsport88 with Andrew Meyrick and Eric de Doncker.

In GT3, it was the Lee Mowle team which won with the Mercedes AMG GT3 from the boss-driver of the same name and Phil Keen who took the lead in the category following the drive through inflicted on the Optimum Motorsport Audi R8 LMS of Joe Osborne and Flick Haigh. The car with the rings finally completes the podium behind the Ebimotors Lamborghini Huracan of Fabio Babini and Emanuele Busnelli.
