The Sports Committee of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest has added a sixth manufacturer to the LMP3 list. After Ginetta (Great Britain), Onroak Automotive (France), Riley Technologies (USA), Adess AG (Germany) and Dome (Japan), it is Norma's turn to have authorization to produce its LMP3.
The ACO responded to the growing needs of more and more client teams interested in the category. After launching the LMP3s in ELMS last year, the European Endurance Championship will be full of entries in 2016 with 21 cars lined up in the category.
Norma is a French manufacturer based in the southwest and founded in 1986 by Norbert Santos. The brand first distinguished itself in hill climbs and on circuits in Europe before launching on the American market in the 1990s with its subsidiary located in Florida called Norma North America. Its fame will be extended with the production of the famous Norma M20 with which Romain Dumas won at Pikes Peak in 2014.
