Olivier Pla and Ligier lead Monza official tests

Olivier Pla set the best time in the Prologue of theELMS with a lap completed this morning in 1'36''461 at the wheel of the Michelin-shod Idec Sport Racing Ligier JS P217 which he shares with Patrice and Paul Lafargue, as well as David Zollinger who will replace the Chip Ganassi Racing resident at Silverstone and Le Mans.

The French team is ahead of a nice group of Oreca 07s. G-Drive Racing is the closest, the No. 22 of Rojas-Hirakawa-Roussel having finished less than 3 tenths from the benchmark. Graff Racing, which dominated 3 of the 5 practice sessions, completes the leading quartet with the #40 of Allen-Matelli-Bradley ahead of the sister car #39 of Petit-Trouillet-Guibbert.

Dragonspeed, author of the best time in the first session with the n°21 of Hanley-Hedman-Stone (arrived last night), completes the top five.

In LMP3, it was again United Autosports which finished with the best time with a time of 1'45''219 achieved by the No. 3 Ligier JS P2 of Rayhall-Falb which nevertheless experienced some mechanical problems during testing. AT Racing is the closest with the No. 9 of Jensen-Talkanista-Talkanista which finished 4 tenths behind, just ahead of the No. 7 of Duqueine Engineering driven by Borga-Droux. The first Norma M30, the No. 19 of M. racing – YMR, finished 9th in the category.

In GTE, the Aston Martin point at the head. The #90 of TF Sport from Yoluc-Hankey-Thiim-Bell which finished in first place with a time of 1'48''720 finishing half a second ahead of the #99 from Beechdean AMR from Gunn-Turner-Howard. There Ferrari 488 n°55 of Spirit of Race by Cameron-Griffin-Scott completes the top three by more than a second.
