Oreca without bodywork 2009

The two LMP1s entered by the Oreca team during the 1000 kilometers of Catalonia will not yet benefit from the 2009 aerodynamic developments. However, Hugues de Chaunac is aiming for victory.

“We are in a hurry to do battle,” explains the boss of Oreca before his departure for Barcelona. “Under the bodywork, everything is new but we decided to be wise and wait for Spa to launch the new aerodynamic configuration. »

For the first round of Le Mans Series, the Oreca team hopes to do well against direct competitors. “Six or seven cars are capable of winning in Barcelona, including the two Oreca prototypes,” assures Hugues de Chaunac.

The two Oreca crews will be made up of Stéphane Ortelli and Bruno Senna and Olivier Panis and Nicolas lapierre.
