Pegasus Racing will do the ELMS on a Morgan

Pegasus Racing will arrive in ELMS this year by entering a Morgan-Nissan, the same model which allowed Oak Racing to sign a double in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and win the WEC. The Strasbourg team is beginning a three-year program starting with the European Championship which will be accompanied by a request to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans a second time. The French team had already started the Le Mans event in 2010 with a Norma (retirement) after having competed for two seasons in the Le Mans Series with a Courage LC75.

Boss Julien Schell has teamed up with Niki Leutwiler who has already won two Speed EuroSeries titles. “Niki and I raced and won this season with the Ligier”, underlines Julien Schell. “He renews his confidence in us to reach the next level. As the ELMS regulations have evolved towards four-hour events instead of three, we are looking for a third driver willing to share this new adventure with us. » The Swiss is also delighted to progress with Pegasus Racing. “For the first time in my long career in motorsport, I feel at home at Pegasus Racing. The strength of the team is to combine a passionate, friendly and even family atmosphere with great professionalism. »

Pegasus Racing will receive the Morgan-Nissan at the beginning of next month and will therefore be ready for the tests held at Paul Ricard on April 1 and 2.
