Pescarolo: “A very complete crew”

Henri Pescarolo, how are you approaching this Nürburgring weekend?
We approach this test with confidence. We are approaching it all the better since we won the last race (in Portimao during the 1000km of Algarve, editor's note). We therefore potentially have the possibility of winning. We won't have any diesel-powered cars in front of us, except the Audi R10. But they are less efficient since Reinhold Joest no longer takes care of them. You still have to be wary of Audi at the Nürburgring but, despite everything, the Aston Martin will be our main adversaries.

Doesn't that seem complicated to you compared to Aston Martin, which is fielding three cars?
We know we are capable of winning because we have already done it. Aston Martin or not, our goal is to win both the drivers' and constructors' titles. And that means a victory this weekend. Despite everything, for the manufacturer's title, with one car compared to three for Aston Martin, it's true that it will be difficult. We must therefore take the victory points.

How do you compare to your last test?
We prepared well for this race. We made some aerodynamic modifications, specific to the Nürburgring, which we were able to test in Brétigny. As for the drivers, unfortunately, Christophe Tinseau fractured a rib but we hope that he will not suffer too much. In return, we welcome Emmanuel Collard with great pleasure. We have a very complete crew.

Doesn't the fact of “changing” crew worry you?
What reassures me is that we have three good drivers. Usually, when a team has three drivers, one of the three is there to provide the financing and he is less good than the others. For us, this is not why we have three pilots. These are even three of the best current drivers in Endurance. In addition, they know the team, the car and the circuit perfectly. Emmanuel is really a big reinforcement for us. He will have no problem adapting since he has raced for us for a long time and knows the house. He's back home.
