Portimão will remain the ELMS final until 2025

The European Le Mans Series announced this Saturday on the sidelines of the 2022 season finale in Portimão (Portugal) the extension of the Portuguese round until 2025. Le Mans Endurance Management (LMEM) and the Autódrome Interncional do Algarve have thus extended the agreement so that the 4 Hours of Portimão remain the finale of the season ELMS until this deadline. 

“We are very pleased to have reached an agreement with the management of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve for the ELMS package to return to Portimao for the next three seasons. my thanks to CEO Paulo Pinheiro and his team for providing us with an ideal venue to host the ELMS”, explains Frédéric Lequien, Managing Director of Le Mans Endurance Management. 

“It is with great pride that we renew the European Le Mans Series for three seasons. It is always a pleasure to welcome this organization and these teams to our circuit, especially for the championship. final. We thank you once again for the trust that CEO Frédéric Lequien and his team place in our work”, added Paulo Pinheiro, Director General of the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. 

The Portuguese circuit appeared for the first time on the ELMS calendar in 2017. It will once again be the scene of the final round of the 2022 season this weekend.
