Timothé Buret at DragonSpeed in Castellet and Le Mans

Timothé Buret will rediscover the joys of LMP2. The French rider joins the American team DragonSpeed for the Castellet 240 in ELMS this weekend in order to prepare the 24 Hours of Le Mans September 19 and 20.

He will team up in the Oreca 07 LMP2 at Le Castellet with Memo Rojas and Ben Hanley, the full-time drivers, and with Memo Rojas and Pipo Derani at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ben Hanley will be present at Le Mans in the No. 27 alongside Henrik Hedman and Renger van der Zande.

A return to basics for the Montpellier resident. The Americans from DragonSpeed will remind him of his year 2015 when he revealed himself in Pro-Mazda in his exile across the Atlantic. He then joined Panis Racing in ELMS before turning to GT this year. Still in the same structure called Tech 1 in GT, he participates in the GT World Challenge Europe endurance cup on a Lexus in the Silver category and drives for CMR in GT4 European Series on the new Toyota GR Supra.

The Montpellier driver participated three times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans between 2016 and 2018 in LMP2 with an 8th place as his best result in the first year. With DragonSpeed, present in ELMS but also in the championship IMSA, he can hope for a top 5 this time with an Oreca.
