The first free practice session for the 4 Hours of Red Bull Ring, second round of theELMS 2021 has just ended.
And if Racing Team Turkey shone yesterday during the collective tests, the hierarchy of the day is more in line with habits. The best time, in fact, went to the No. 07 United Autosports Oreca 22.
Credited with a time of 1'22"051, the Gamble-Hanson-Aberdein trio beat the no. 0 of G-Drive Racing by 056"26, at the wheel of which we find Colapinto-De Vries-Rusinov. In third place, first in LM P2 Pro/Am, we find the #21 DragonSpeed USA entrusted to Hanley-Hedman-Menezes. Follow Cool Racing (Stone-Coigny-Borga), Team WRT (Ye-Delétraz-Kubica) and Panis Racing (Canal-Stevens-Allen).
In LM P3, DKR Engineering took the lead thanks to the No. 08 Duqueine D4 from Dayraut-Hörr-Berg. The latter precedes two Ligier JS P320s from United Autosports, namely the No. 2 of Boyd-Wheldon-Cauhaupé and the No. 3 of Bentley-Tappy-McGuire.
Finally, winner of the 6 Hours of Spa in WEC in GTE Am, the Ferrari No. 83 from AF Corse rose to the top of the GTE hierarchy. Led by Perrodo-Collard-Rovera, the latter beat four other 488 GTE Evos! Now, from 16:20 p.m. to 16:50 p.m., time for collective tests reserved for Bronze pilots.
