The Automobile Club de l'Ouest, which took over the organization of the Asian Le Mans Series, announced this Wednesday that the Chinese event in Shanghai, initially scheduled for November 1, will be replaced by Malaysia on November 7 and 8, on a circuit which will be visited again on January 23 and 24.

This change was made to compensate for the lack of racing time suffered by the Chinese meeting (only 1h20, compared to 2h in Japan and 3h on the other rounds of the championship). The substitution round at Sepang will last 3 hours. China will return in 2016-2017 according to the wishes of the ACO.

The 2015-2016 calendar now looks like this:

Fuji (Japan): October 10-11 (on the sidelines of WEC)
Sepang (Malaysia): November 7-8
Buriram (Thailand): January 8-10
Sepang (Malaysia): January 23-24
